Dermaplaning Facial

Dermaplaning is an effective method of physical exfoliation. Using a scalpel blade, dead skin cells are removed from the epidermis (top layer of the skin). Along with exfoliating, dermaplaning also helps remove the unwanted vellus hairs from the face.

Removing epidermal skin also allows products to penetrate more readily into the deeper layers of the skin. As a result, this treatment can be used to prepare the skin for chemical peels or incorporated into medical facials. Dermaplaning is most often used on patients with rough, dry skin, superficial hyper pigmentation, mild acne scarring or fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment results in a more refined, smooth, ‘glowing’ appearance.

Usually, you can see a difference after the first treatment. Not only will you achieve smoother, brighter skin, but this treatment also helps remove peach fuzz on the face and despite popular belief, the hair does not grow back thicker.
